Research On The Countributions And Countermeasures Of Coastal Port Economy To The Marine Economy In Guangdong Province

The port,as a foreign trade gateway of the country,plays an important role in acountry or region’s economic development, the port economy with the port as the carriercan promote the development of the marine economy and regional economicdevelopment by continuing to release the multiplier, agglomeration effect. GuangdongProvince is a big marine province,its port economy has absolutely become the oceaneconomy growth pole. Therefore, this paper explores a scientific, rational and actualport economy development mode which has an important role in promoting marineeconomy in Guangdong province.It defines the related concept of the port economy and marine economy andcombes the related theory, describes the present situation and characteristics the porteconomy and marine economy of Guangdong Province to explore the method oftheoretical and empirical analysis of the port’s contribution to the marine economy.Firstly，it analyzes the effect of the economy development,the regional multiplier effectand agglomeration benefits which the port brings,and point that the ports can promoteregional integration and enhance the level of development of industry. Secondly itdemonstrates the important role of port economy to the ocean economy with multiplelinear regression method and points that the different index of port have different effectsto economy. Thirdly,by multiple independent sample test to three regions (GuangdongProvince, Guangdong Pearl River Delta, Guangdong,it demonstrates that the role of porteconomy has different on economic development to different areas, which requiresdifferent areas should take different strategies to promote the development ofeconomy.And then, it summarizes the development patterns of port economy at homeand abroad, as a reference for the development of Guangdong Province mode of porteconomy.Lastly, Guangdong Province is divided into three regional dimensions,Western Guangdong,Pearl River Delta and Eastern (one body two wings), based on thereality of the port areas and puts forward some countermeasures for Guangdongprovince.
