Space-time Coupling Research On Quality Of Urbanization And Informatization In Yangtze Delta Of China

At the Eighteenth National Party Congress we decided on the strategic requirements of synchronous development of industrialization, informatization, urbanization and agricultural modernization. Since early21st century, we have increased and expanded the number of towns, the urban scale and the rate of urbanization. And quality of urbanization lags far behind the rate of urbanization. After we carry out the strategy of synchronous development of informatization and urbanization, we pay more attention to the construction of urban informatization in every province of China. The information technology and new high-tech industry are promoted because informatization has become a huge driving force for promoting China’s economic development. Because the quality of urbanization and level of informatization affect each other, we should coordinate the development of quality of urbanization and the level of informatization. When we improve the quality of urbanization, we should also emphasize the construction of informatization and vice versa.This paper selects16cities in Yangtze River Delta as the researchful object and establishes two appraisal index systems on the basis of analyzing and studying the research progress of urbanization and informatization. The evaluation index system of quality of urbanization includes the quality of economic development, the level of social development, infrastructural construction, eco-environmental quality and urban-rural coordination. And the evaluation index system of informatization level includes the rate of informational equipment, informational resources, talents of informatization and developmental environment of informatization It selects datas of12years from2000to2011and analyzes the space-time evolvement about quality of urbanization and the level of informatization by entropy method, linear weighted sum law and exploratory spatial data analysis. The result shows an upward trend in the quality of urbanization and level of informatization and Shanghai tops the other15 cities. Then the paper explores the space-time coupling mechanism between the two and it turns out that the coupling degree undergoes its low-level, competing and running-in stages in Yangtze Delta. The coupling degree is continuous promotion and Shanghai is at the top level.
