The Research Of Strategy Development Of VOPAK

Based on the whole analysis of chemical industry chain in Tianjin Harbor Economic Area, studied on the industry’s competitive advantage with competitors, drawed lessons from the advanced theory of port logistics development, according to the characteristics of distribution of chemical industry, the main content of this paper keeps research and academic analysis on its continuous development in improving of management system, providing service, developing potential business, searching better strategic plan for VOPAK Lingang Terminal. At the same time, VOPAK will become the pilot company of chemical storage industry in Tianjin port.In this paper, the research content is divided into seven parts:Chapter1:Introduction.This chapter mainly introduced the selected topic background and significance, the domestic research status of liquid chemical wharf storage.Chapter2:Relevant theories review.This chapter mainly introduced the basic theory. Using Michael porter’s industrial analysis theory and SWOT analysis theory to find out VOPAK’s strategy.Chapter3:Analyzing the environment of VOPAKBased on SWOT analysis theory, we analyzed the external and internal environment to find out the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of VOPAK.Chapter4:Requirements analysis.Through analyzing the demand around VOPAK, selecting the analysis method, we get the demand prediction of VOPAK and provide the basic information for making strategy.Chapter5:The formulation of developing strategic countermeasure in VOPAK.This chapter formulates the strategic development countermeasure mainly from developing strategic positioning、strategic goals、strategic focus. Chapter6:The strategic development countermeasure in VOPAK.This chapter decides strategic development countermeasure mainly from improving the infrastructure construction further, to strengthen market research and tracking、the communication with customs and other government departments, to strengthen field management of the enterprises and personnel training.Chapter7:Conclusion and prospect.This chapter mainly elaborates thesis conclusion and the outlook for the future.
