The Research Into The Influence Of Cluster External Knowledge Acquisition On Organizational Proximity Andabsorptive Capacity

Innovation is an inexhaustible motive force for cluster development.Andknowledge acquisition is the necessary condition for innovation.Therefore the clustermembers should break down geographical barriers,strengthen external knowledgeacquisition to remain competitive. Based on above,the article studies the mechanismof accessing to external knowledge from perspective on organizational proximity andabsorptive capacity.First of all,from the view of organizational proximity and absorptive capacity,thisarticle elaborates the direct and indirect mechanism of accessing to externalknowledge,and then put forward three hypothesis. Then this paper adopts thequestionnaire data of electronic information industry clusters in Changsha city, usingfactor analysis, reliability analysis, partial degrees and kurtosis to test availability andreliability of the questionnaire data. Finally Structural Equation Model (SEM) wasused to model step by step and AMOS software was used to draw and to calculateinfluence standardized path coefficients and significance level between the variables,using the empirical results to test three theoretical assumptions.Through the theoretical mechanism analysis and empirical test, this paper drawthe following conclusions:firstly,organizational proximity has significant positiveinfluence on gaining external knowledge;Secondly, absorptive capacity hassignificant positive influence on gaining external knowledge; Thirdly,absorptivecapacity considering organizational proximity between cluster enterprises andexternal knowledge has significant positive influence on external knowledgeacquisition, and the influence effect is stronger.At last, this paper proposes some policy recommendations to promote theabilities of external knowledge acquisition of electronic information industry clustersin Changsha city.
