As one of the major electronic payment means, credit card, integrating multiplefunctions such as settlement, credit, cash withdrawal, transfer, and exchange into one,has become an indispensable part in people’s economic life. With the change ofpersonal consumption idea and rapid economic growth, the development of the mostpowerful function of credit card–installment business has become more and moreprominent in the field of personal consumption loan. Credit card cash installmentbusiness not only enriches the bank’s loan types, but also provides a more convenientway of loan for credit card holders, which is a multi-win innovation of credit cardbusiness.This paper makes a comparison between common cash installment business incurrent market and CCB’s cash installment business. It takes the branch of CCB inHunan Province for example to analyze the current state of CCB’s cash installmentbusiness and further probes into CCB’s cash installment business via SWOT, thusconcluding the internal advantages and disadvantages as well as externalopportunities and threats for the development of CCB’s cash installment business.Although CCB is the first nationalized bank to launch cash installment business, itstarted late compared with most joint-stock construction banks’ cash installmentbusiness and pays insufficient attention to cash installment business. What’s worse, itis not humanized enough in handling procedure, its e-bank service lags behind, and itscharging mode is too simplex. The rapid development of credit cash installmentbusiness at present and the limited growth of common consumption installment andauto installment provide room for the development of cash installment business,which shows that there is both challenge and opportunity for CCB to develop cashinstallment business.To better develop CCB’s cash installment business and provide more humanizedand diversified service for customers, this paper analyzes problems in CCB’s cashinstallment business. Moreover, it puts forward six corresponding optimizationcountermeasures based on reality, including: optimize human resources management,strengthen promotion and propaganda, establish a complete customer managementsystem, optimize business application procedure, intensify risk control, and customerrepayment experience, in the hope of promoting the development of CCB’s credit cashinstallment business and brining more convenience and better experience for itscustomers.
