The Research On Rice Farmers’ Demand Willingness Of Agricultural Technology Services And Influencing Factors In Major Grain-producing Areas

Agricultural technology is the driving force of the agricultural development, while modern agriculture depends on modern agricultural techniques. Jiangxi province is a typical major grain-producing areas in central of China, where many farmers live with rice planting. Based on farmers’demand perspective, this paper will research the rice technology services in jiangxi, which is realistic significance to establish agricultural technology service system in jiangxi province, major grain-producing areas, and the whole nation.Firstly, this paper defines the concepts of major grain-pro due ing areas, agricultural socialization service system and agricultural technology services. Secondly, the paper analyzes the supply and demand present situation of rice technology services, and survey rice farmers’ technical requirements in jiangxi. Thirdly, based on the survey data of113sample households in jiangxi, this paper divides agricultural technology service into three types. Using the multivariate Logit model, it analyzes the influence factors. According to the empirical results, this article puts forward several policy suggestions and improving measures.There are two main findings in this paper. On the one hand, the supply and demand of rice technology service don’t match. It mainly shows that insufficient of agricultural technician, excess supply of traditional technology demonstration and promotion service, the relative lack of agricultural professional organizations’technology services, the less of technology services for paid demand. On the other hand, this paper divides agricultural technology service into public welfare services, marketability services, and professional cooperation organization’s services. By the econometric analysis, we can see that different kinds of technology service have affected by different factors, and one factor has impacted each service by different degree. The public welfare technology services demand of rice farmers have been affected by household profession, rice planting scale, price level of technology, rice income, as well as technical training. Household profession is the important influencing factors. The marketability technology services demand of rice farmers have been affected by household profession, rice planting years, whether rice repeat-planting, technology guidance, media information. There are two significant factors, rice planting years and media information. Rice farmers demand for professional cooperation organization technology services have been affected by education, whether the village cadres, technology information of cooperation organization. The information from cooperation organization is the most important influence factors.Based on the above analysis, this paper puts forward three suggestions on rice supply finally. Firstly, we would improve and give full play to the public welfare function of agro-technique extension department. Secondly, we would strengthen market guidance, and regulate the behavior of marketability services. Thirdly, we would strengthen the construction of agricultural specialized cooperative organizations.
