In this research, we constructed a two-dimensional analysis of the causal model for regional inboundtourism competitiveness based on the previous studies, and the established a evaluation index system aboutregional inbound tourism competitiveness in this study. The data was collected from31provinces,autonomous regions and municipalities (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions) in2012. Theinbound tourism competitiveness derived from market, the core and the environment were ranked by usingSPSS22.0statistical software and factor analysis.And the inbound tourism competitiveness of Henanprovince was well detailed.This paper focus on the model and their application in Henan province. At first, a two-dimensionalanalysis of the causal model for regional inbound tourism competitiveness was build according to the traitof inbound tourism. Next, a exploratory analysis was used in inbound tourism competitiveness of Henanprovince based on the model.A reason-result analysis method was used in the two-dimensional inbound tourism competitivenessdimensional analysis model, and the results of previous studies was referenced. In this paper, explicitcompetition and the internal competition were discussed. Explicit competition represent the result ofcompetition and internal competition represent the connotation of competition. This model is feasible,simple and convincing interpretation.38index system was constructed from market competitiveness, corecompetencies, competitive environment, showing the inbound tourism competitiveness of some region.Meanwhile, research results of other scholars were learned to regional inbound tourism competitiveness oftwo-dimensional analytical model, and trying to build a theoretical basis for inbound tourismcompetitiveness study.It is first exploratory analysis to the Inbound Tourism Competitiveness based on this model. Combinedwith evidence, we find that Henan province has less competitive in the inbound tourism market, and theinbound tourism scale and efficiency are relatively low. Although the inbound tourism factors of resource,service and the industrial structure in Henan Province have a stronger competitive, the lack of capacity inthe management, the economic base and infrastructure constraints of inbound tourism development. The result of study shows that regional inbound tourism competitiveness two-dimensional analyticalmodel and the indicator system have some advantages. By comparison and analysis in this paper, it can beseen that inbound tourism development of Henan Province is weak, but the core competitiveness factor hasa stronger advantage. The core competitiveness with high loads on the abundance of tourism resources,grade level of tourism resources, the number of tourism enterprises and tourism revenue, which indicatestourism resources of Henan Province has a stronger comparative advantage in the quantity and quality. Toenhance the competitiveness of inbound tourism of Henan Province, firstly, we must rely on good tourismresources, discover cultural connotation of tourism, create well-known international tourism products,enlarge publicity, and enhance tourism attraction. Secondly, we should cultivate tourism professionals,strengthen regional infrastructure. At last, it is very important to establish the regional tourismcooperation and development alliances, so that promoting common development.
