Impact Of Administrative Division Adjustment On Urbanization Promotion In Changchun In The21st Century

Taking Changchun as example,the effects of administrative division adjustment onurbanization was disscussed in this thesis. First of all,the paper reviewed the researches andpractices related to the impact of administrative division adjustment onto urbanization both indomestic and abroad. Based on the reviews, the significance, aim and content of the researchwas proposed. Secondly, the historical process of urbanization in Changchun was gone over interms of Population, economic, industry, spatial development, residential lives,infrastructure,as well as resources and enviroment. Thirdly, the characteristics of the event ofadiministrative division adjustment in Changchun was summarized. Combining the analyisisabove, this paper recognized that the administrative division adjustment are able to producethree effect on the urbanization in Changchun including①Planning effect. The interactionsof administrative division adjustment and urban planning provide the basis for the steady andodered development.②industrial effect. Administrative division adjustment promoted theformation and development of industrial clusters, as well as the prosperity of the developmentzone.③Spatial effect. Administrative division adjustment expanded the developping space ofcity, and then promoted the optimization of the ruban spatial structure. Finally, as a conclusion,based on the understanding of process and their interaction of administrative divisionadjustment and urbanization, a development concept in the mode of metropolitan wasproposed for the futural Changchun in the perspective of aim, extent, scale, spatial structure,industrial development, transportation, center system, resource and environment,as well asagricultural modernization.
