The family business has a long history, and occupies an important place in the worldeconomy. The family business in our country is reborn in the reform and opening up anddevelopment has been more than30years of history, is entering the transmission peak.Inheritance is the problem that each family enterprise must face, the success or failure ofvital importance to the enterprise. From the practice of domestic family businesssuccession, the father-son succession appears as a mainstream model. This thesis uses thefather-son succession of our country family business as the research object, tries to providemeaningful thoughts and methods to family businesses, and expects to make contributionto the research on family business inheritance issues.This thesis uses the literature analysis, case analysis and other methods. Firstly,describes the background and significance of the research, and then introduces the relatedtheories and literatures. Secondly, analyzes the current situation of the father-son successionof our country family business, sums up the main reasons, expounds the features, and pointsout the main existing problems. Thirdly, selects a case of the father-son succession ofJiangsu Wuyang Group, analyzes the process of business succession, and draws someinspirations of the smooth implementation to the father-son succession. Finally, puts forwardspecific countermeasures and suggestions from the enterprise founder, successor, and thegovernment in three aspects. As the founder of enterprises, he should make a succession planas early as possible, pay attention to enterprise culture heritage, exercise successor carefully,cultivate management team to assist his successor. As the successor, he should improve themanagement ability, pay attention to enterprise spirit inheritance, fuse the old and newmanagement team, leads the transformation and upgrading of enterprises. As the government,it should play a good positive role, enhance the successor innovation ability, expand thesuccessor development space, enhance the successor to the sense of social responsibility, andcreate a favorable external environment for the successor.
