Economic globalization is typical characteristic of21st century. Transnationaloperation is most popular way to run foreign venture company. In order to avoid cultureconflicting, foreign company carries forward strategy of manager localization. But ingenerally,local managers are still in low level with management skill and leadership. Theyare lack of management knowledge and practical experience. Traditional human resourcemanagement can’t fulfill new requirements of developing of foreign company in CHINA.In this research,competency theory is applied,in order to build competency model ofmanagers in foreign company to solve above issues.With sufficient study on characteristics of managers in foreign company and based onformer researching results,competency model of managers in foreign company was buildup. The model was applied to foreign automotive company and its effectiveness wasproofed after applied in training,recruiting,performance reviewing and career planning. |
