This thesis chooses cruise tourism as the research object, discussing cruise tourismspatial organization evolution and its driving mechanism, based on the view ofgeography and spatial organization theory. It reviews the achievement about cruisetouirsm and its spatial organization rfom domestic and foreign scholars andinstitutions. Then through the study of the spatial organization system, the evolutionand the pattern of cruise tourism and the analysis of the spatial organization drivingmechanism of cruise touirsm from the macro and micro perspective, which ultimatelyselects the coastal ports in China as the research area. Combining theory with practice, using SPSS and EXCEL data to analysis the development status of coastal cruisetourism spatial organization in our country, it explores the inside and outsidedevelopment extent of cruise tourism space organization, and classifies Chinesecoastal ports into different stages of cruise tourism spatial organization and finallyputs forward the optimization path of cruise tourism development based on thosestages. Following are the main conclusions.1.Cruise touirsm spatial organization system and its’ evolutionCruise tourism spatial organization system is composed of nodes, channels andmedia. One complete cruise touirsm spatial organization system takes the port and theroute as its basis, cruise and destination as its core and the media as its bond, whichemphasizes the evolution, the mutual connection and the coordination of variouselements of cruise tourism spatial organization. In addition, based on its’ differentstages, its evolution process changes rfom independent nodes, cluster development tonetwork development. With cruise and ports being leaders, cruise tourism spatialorganization model focuses on the combination of elements, showing double drivemode of cruise and port which is adjustable and dynamic.2.Study on driving mechanism of spatial organization evolution about cruisetouirsmBased on the analysis of the internal and external factors of cruise tourism spatialorganization system evolution and the driving mechanism principle,it refines out thedriving mechanism of cruise tourism spatial organization from the macroscopic andmicroscopic perspective and gets hold of the driving force in the cruise tourism spatialorganization. Among them, the dirving mechanism of micro level mainly includecruise driving, cruise home port dirving, tourism destination driving, cruise routesdirving and media factors driving; the driving mechanism of macro level mainlyinclude the decision demand pull and support environment push.3.Study on cruise tourism spatial organization of Chinese coastal portsEmpirical study shows that, there are regular patterns and stages of space organization evolution of16coastal cruise ports in our country. At the same time, because of the cruise tourism has its difference in different stages, the internal andexternal difTerences exist in the spatial organization evolution of coastal area. Theinternal space organization development of coastal port ranges from a single node tothe cluster, while external space organization development of coastal port embodiesradial diffusion and hierarchical. It classifies the spatial organization of16domesticcoastal ports into three stages based on SPSS and Excel, and puts forward theoptimization path at different stages of the cruise port: in the initial stage, constructthe specialized cruise terminal and brand cruise port as port of call; in the formertransitional stage, determine the development level of coastal ports and givedevelopment priority to the inshore cruise tourism; in the latter transitional stage, achieve diversification development and establish long-term coordination mechanism.
