The Reaserach About Expanding The Form Of Transport Of "Door To Door" In The Railway Administration Of Kunming

ABSTRACT:As the industrial structure is continuously adjusting and the social economy is fast developing, there are more requirements for transportation and logistics. Modern logistics has gradually become the important main power to enhance company’s competitiveness, improve the economic operation efficiency and transform the economic development mode. As a main way of transportation, railway is important for materials circulation and is also the main artery of national economy. As the social logistics corporations and other ways of transportation are becoming close to the market, enlarging their service scope and improving the service qualities, the railway have lost its market share and decreased its competitiveness. So the China Railway Corporation is boosting the freight organization reform, extending the service chain, accelerating the transformation from station-to-station to door-to-door, to improve the competitiveness of railway. Kunming Railway Bureau has acquired some remarkable achievements but still has many problems. Kunming Railway Bureau need to enlarge the business scope, improve the information service ability, optimize the resource allocation and set the freight price flexibly to unify the freight and logistics. The reason causing these problems is that the operation entities lack the relative researches and practices for choosing the suitable operation mode during the enlargement of door-to-door transportation services. So researching the operation mode for railway bureau to enlarge the door-to-door transportation has considerable theoretical and practical significance.By launching the site investigations and summarize the analyses, this thesis researches into the problems for railway to enlarge the door-to-door transportation services from the following aspects.(1) The thesis summarizes the developing conditions of freight and logistics at home and abroad, analyzes the achievements and problems of Kunming Railway Bureau developing the freight and logistics. The thesis discusses the main goods structure of Kunming Railway Bureau and analyzes the freight market demands characteristics of the goods having high quantities and the goods having high added value. The thesis also analyzes the internal and external environments for Kunming Railway Bureau to develop the door-to-door transportation from some aspects, namely economic development, market competition, resources, policies, self-conditions and etc. And it shows the necessity for Kunming Railway Bureau to develop the door-to-door transportation services.(2) The thesis confirms the market orientation of Kunming Railway Bureau to develop the door-to-door transportation services from three aspects, namely different goods categories, customer structure and business scope. The thesis also designs the index system of3kinds and10items for Kunming Railway Bureau to develop the door-to-door transportation.(3) Considering the market demands, service functions and operation foundation conditions, the thesis divides the operation modes into self-run, alliance and outsourcing. Analyzing the evaluation methods, the thesis chooses the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for mode selection and decides the progress of mode selection. According to the site investigations, the thesis also carries case studies about6freight stations governed by Kunming Railway Bureau. (4) To accelerate the development of door-to-door transportation for Kunming Railway Bureau, the thesis gives some measures and suggestions such as enhancing the information construction, making the flexible freight price strategy, establishing the market feedback mechanism, completing the safety monitoring mechanism and enhancing the customer relationship managements, etc.
