The issue of carbon emission and carbon footprint has become two of theimportant topics in the academic study. This paper intends to discuss the issue bytaking30provinces and autonomous regions in china as a research object. The landuse is divided into residential and industrial land, transportation land, agricultural andwater conservancy facilities land, and special land.According to land use method andthe traditional energy consumption projects, build calculation model of carbonemissions and carbon footprint in different land use, and carrieson the quantitativeanalysis. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Land use structure in China from2002to2011, agricultural and waterconservancy facilities is the largest proportion (95.29%) in the four types of land, followed by residential and industrial land (4.31%), transportation land (0.38%) andthe special land (0.02%).(2)Chinese energy consumption overall showed fluctuated upward trend in2002-2011. Chinese total energy consumption from75844.89×108t in2002increasedto177009.34×108t in2011, the average annual growth rate is14.82%.2002-2011Chinese energy intensity presents a dynamic downward trend from0.6368t/104yuanin2002reduced to0.5878t/104yuan in2011. Which in Northwest China and NorthChina energy intensity is higher, its energy intensity0.9532t/yuan and0.7926t/104yuan in2011, while the South China, East China and Central China energy intensity isrelatively low.(3) Carbon emissions of Chinese land use energy consumption showedfluctuated upward trend in2002-2011,from153317.48×104t in2002increased to228135.32×104t in2011,and average annual growth rate of4.88%.The trend wassimilar to its "W" shape, in which carbon emissions of Chinese energy consumptionin2003and2008was declined, but other years was maintain sustained growth.Carbonemissions of residential and industrial land(1351580.61×104t)>carbon emissions of ttransportation land(191735.14×104t)>carbon emissions of specialland(53424.08×104t)>carbon emission of agricultural and water conservancy facilities land(41738.73×104t).Overall, Chinese energy consumption and carbonemissions are mainly concentrated in the residential and industrial land andtransportation land areas, high carbon areas are mainly concentrated in the bohaieconomic circle, the Yangtze river delta and the pearl river delta and other developedprovinces.(4)The amount of carbon sinks showed fluctuated upward trend in2002-2011,from215348.16×104t in2002increased to242000.81×104t in2011,andaverage annual growth rate of1.38%.Pressure index of Chinese carbon footprint rosefrom0.71in2002to0.94in2011, the average annual growth rate of3.60%, increaseis small, but obvious regional differences.(5)Carbon footprint of Chinese energy consumption remains generally risingtrend in2002-2011,from21228×104hm2in2002increased to42659×104hm2in2011,average annual growth rate of10.10%.Carbon footprint of Chinese energyconsumptionshowed a trend of westward center of gravity.Carbon footprint ofresidential and industrial land(25945.64×104hm2)>carbon footprint of transportationland(3545.20×104hm2)>carbon footprint of agricultural and water conservancyfacilities land(1113.20×104hm2)>carbon footprint of special land(908.77×104hm2).
