With deepening globalization, increasing competition among enterprises, to obtain long-termrapid development, business managers and related scholars have recognized that strategicmanagement can not just focus on strategic planning, strategy implementation and control is also veryimportant. So strategic control has been a hot topic of strategic management, helping companies toimplement and adjust strategies better. This thesis initiates with the perspective of strategic control, bases on the early research results ofstrategic control and constructs theoretical models that the strategic control is the interaction of threefactors--strategy implementation process control, external environment and operating results. This isrealized through the identification and screening of the key factors of concern in the strategicimplementation process. This thesis argues that the strategy implementation process control includestwo aspects: the control of the investment for elements that affect the long-term development and thecontrol of the corporate managers’ behavior. With regard to the characteristics of high-techenterprises, the author proposes that the factors that could affect the long-term developments are: R&D investment and investment in fixed assets. Based on the above analysis, this thesis furthers toexplore specific indicators of the key elements of strategic control, the index system of enterpriseperformance evaluation and the influence of the clear key elements in strategic control on theenterprise performance impact mechanism; therefore proposing the corresponding hypothesis. This thesis selects listed companies in high-tech industry as the research objectives to do theempirical research. The results show that R&D investment and firm performance are positivelylinear-related, and the positive effect has a certain lag, similarly is the relation between researcherinvestment and firm performance. Fixed assets investment and firm performance are invertedU-shaped relation. Executive compensation and corporate performance are positively linear-related. Inaddition, although environmental dynamics has no significant positive effect to the relation betweenbetween strategic control elements and firm performance, we find that companies face changes in theenvironment positively, research and development, investment of fixed assets and other aspects havecarried forward to adjust these changes actively.Baesd on the results, this thesis proposed different suggestions to high-tech companies withdifferent strategies to help them achieve sustained and rapid development.
