Product development project management as a company management method, ithas a very important role of defining company objectives, control the productdevelopment cycle, management the process of product development.In this paper, it usese the basics of project management and the feature ofproduct development, make in-depth analysis and summary in the projectmanagement practical realities of an automotive electronic product developmentcompany (abbreviation as Company F in this paper), it discusses some of theimportant product development process management methods and application,propose the difficult problems of a traditional project management methods. Based onthe analysis and research of the project development activities of Company F, proposethe solutions of those difficult issues such as optimize processes, risk control andmanagement by objective.In various stages of the automotive electronic product development, the problemof long product development cycle and high work cost can be solved by designprocess optimization and standardization.Combined with plan management theory, itanalysis the problem caused by the consummation of plan and change control ofemergencies, sum planning and tracking methods, and the application of projectassessment.As mentioned to the control of project risk management, based on riskmanagement theory, this paper focuse on the the analysis of controlling and avoiddingthe potential risk methods in the design stage, and also the project problemmanagement theory, sum the applied FMEA method.The success of project development has great relation to the project teammembers, this article summarizes the approach of management by objectives inCompany F, elaborate the basic concepts, practical applications and good results ofmanagement by objectives.
