The Status And Forecast Research Of Demand And Supply Of Shipbuilding Industry Skilled Personnel

Since the1990s, China’s shipbuilding industry has made considerable progress.Industry competition mainly relies on product competition, science and technologyplay a supportive role for the products, and the talent can master and apply scienceand technology. Shipbuilding industry as a large-scale equipment manufacturingwhich is a set of labor, capital, technology in one, the talent especially skilledpersonnel is critical to its development. With the development of the shipbuildingindustry, skilled personnel are playing an increasingly important role in the economicconstruction of ships, the industry’s demand for skilled personnel is alsoincreasing. However, due to various factors’ constraints, there is a big gap between thesupply of skilled personnel and shipbuilding industry’s actual demand for skilledpersonnel. The imbalance between supply and demand and the low overall quality ofexisting skilled personnel have severely restricted the rapid development of shipeconomy, also affected the ship enterprises to improve competitiveness.Against this background, the article analyzes the status of supply and demand ofshipbuilding industry skilled personnel, and respectively predicts the supply anddemand of skilled personnel in the coming years, at last, provides reasonablesuggestions for resolving shipbuilding industry skilled personnel’s contradiction ofsupply and demand.First, the article defines the confusing concepts and elaborate all the theory inthis paper, on this basis, overviews the shipbuilding industry and shipbuildingindustry skilled personnel’s characteristics and role, analyzes the important role ofskilled personnel for the development of shipbuilding industry.Then the article usesthe method of quantitative and qualitative analysis to analyze the status of skilledpersonnel and labor market’s demand for skilled personnel, finds that the shipbuildingindustry skilled personnel is not only short in the number, but also imbalance in thestructure. The reason both has objective、subjective factors and economic、educationalor institutional factors.After analyzing the shipbuilding industry skilled personnel’s status of supply anddemand, the article uses a variety of methods such as gray forecasting and regressionforecasting to respectively predict2014-2018supply and demand of shipbuildingindustry skilled personnel. The forecasts show that2014-2018supply of shipbuilding industry skilled personnel are269014.8,297158.2,326610.7,357504.6and389985.4,the demand are424349.4,464933.9,508214.2,554506.8and604173.7, thegap between supply and demand are155334.6,167775.7,181603.5,197002.2and214188.3. Thus, the gap between supply and demand of shipbuilding industry skilledpersonnel has been gradually increasing trends.Against the problems of supply and demand of shipbuilding industry skilledpersonnel, including insufficient number and low quality, by drawing on theexperience of foreign skilled personnel training, the article makes specific andfeasible proposals for the training of shipbuilding industry skilled personnel,lays a solid foundation for the eventual balance between supply and demand quantityand quality of shipbuilding industry skilled personnel.
