Logistics Enterprises D’s Empirical Research On Young Talent Development

Abstract/Summary:
This paper aims to study the important factor of young talent retaining in multinationallogistics enterprises for promoting talent development. In China, the logistics cost isdeclining share of GDP year by year. When this ratio is lower than the increasing speed ofGDP, that means the logistics industry create output value more and more lower, but thatdoes not mean that there is no prospect of the logistics industry. Besides of the industrialrestructuring factor (lower logistics needs by tertiary industry), the technology andmanagement improvement of logistics is a major factor result in logistics costs decliningshare of GDP. At present, the logistics costs account for about20%of GDP in China, andit accounts about10%in the United States. Except the impact of industrial structure factor,this proportion in China should be higher than the proportion of the United States around6%.That is to say, the logistics cost share of GDP will continue to decline in China with moreand more logistics enterprises mastering advanced logistics technology and management level.The enterprises, who master advanced logistics technology and management level and hashigh quality service, will become the final winner and the leader of logistics industry inChina. The future of the logistics industry is brilliant and promising.The younger generation of talent plays a decisive role in the rapid development oflogistics industry in China. One of the key challenges in the local and multinationalcompanies is how to identify the young staff with high potential, pulling them from the trainand coach back to the company, motivate and retain them. Implementing the steady andactive corporate human resource strategy in the enterprises, providing the appropriate careerdevelopment opportunities within the organization, instilling the company’s businessstrategy and other methods can retain young talent, thereby allowing enterprises to improvecompetitiveness. On the other hand, with the development trend of logistics industry inChina, it’s imperative to create a healthy talent pool system to support its business andmaintain long-term business strategy. Therefore, the implementation of talent development is a necessary means, but also is a significant strategy of support local and multinationallogistics company’s business development in China.This study attempts to explore theimportant factor of young talent development in logistics industry, the definition of researchquestions is: the most important factor in the developing logistics industry to attract youngtalent in China.Aiming at the current market demand, the researcher of D company research onretention of talent development model with data analysis and interview analysis way, whichaim is in order to better adapt to the current human resources development environment on theinfluence of the logistics industry talents and needs. In two stages of study on using a hybridmethod, namely the combination of questionnaire and interview. At last, we make surethat what are some important factors of development and reserve for young talents inmultinational enterprises in the Chinese logistics industry and which factor is can be solved.
