An Analysis On Rural Residents’ Food Consumption In Jilin Province

Since the reform and opening up, the rural residents of Jilin Province in the field of foodconsumption change greatly, food consumption expenditure increases progressively, increasingfood consumption structure optimization, the nutritional status to be improved. However, as abig agricultural province of Jilin, the rural residents’ food consumption has its uniquecharacteristics. Therefore, it is necessary for a special system research which can checkoutwhether the food consumption level and consumption structure is reasonable.There is a systematic review of Jilin province since reform and opening up the ruralresidents’ food consumption development course. It is based on lots of relevant data from thenet income of farmers, living consumption expenditure, food consumption, food consumptionstructure. From the reform and opening up, the Engel’s coefficient declining, realize the spanfrom poor to rich. By the analysis of the consumption structure of different years in Jilinprovince food, food consumption structure increasingly reasonable. Plant food consumption fell,such as grain, vegetables. Meat, eggs, milk, animal food consumption increased, diet structureand nutritional situation also has the very big improvement.By comparison with other areas of urban residents, food consumption of rural residentsand rural residents; food consumption and food consumption and the national average levelstage compared to the target, which can be found: compared with urban residents, foodconsumption level is low. Compared with the national average rural residents’ foodconsumption, Jilin province on the whole is better than the national average, but there aredeficiencies in some respects. Compared with Jiangsu, Zhejiang and other provinces and cities,there are still a big gap between the rural residents in Jilin Province, milk, meat, aquaticproducts and food consumption were seen. It is far mare that compared with the national foodconsumption milestones.Regression model was used to affect the influence factors of the rural residents’ foodconsumption in Jilin province empirical analysis. It is found that in order to improve the currentJilin province rural residents’ food consumption situation. It is need to increase farmers’ income,improve the structure of the farmers’ income, strengthening the construction of the rural market.Put forward the following suggestions based on the conclusion of the study: to expand theincome in the agricultural production growth space, upgrading of food consumption, improverural wage income, promote rural food consumption. To strengthen the construction of Jilin province rural market, creating the environment to ensure the food consumption structure. Hopeto improve the rural residents of Jilin province food consumption to provide reference.
