The automotive industry is an important pillar industry of the national economy,which is characterized by: a long industrial chain, associated with high, wide range ofemployment, consumer-driven large in the national economy and social developmentplays an important role. In the21st century, China’s GDP has significantly increased,people’s consumption level has been significantly improved, thus contributing to therapid development of China’s automobile industry, however, from the current point ofview, China’s auto industry still exists structure is irrational, the technical level is nothigh, self-development capacity is weak, imperfect consumer policy and otheroutstanding issues. Coupled with the influx of imported vehicles on the domesticautomotive market caused a serious impact on China’s auto industry developmentsituation is extremely severe, so the restructuring of China’s automobile industry is aninevitable requirement for further development.Mass Customization Mode provides an important way for the development of theautomobile manufacturing enterprises. Mass customization is a set of businesses,customers, suppliers, employees and the environment in one of the system under theideological guidance, with a view of the overall optimization, and take full advantageof the companies have a variety of resources, technology standard, modern designmethods, a mode of production of customized products and services, informationtechnology and advanced manufacturing technology support, based on the individualneeds of the customer, to provide low-cost, high-quality and high-efficiency.From the aspects of the Chinese auto market structure, the status quo of China’sautomobile manufacturing industry, the status quo of China’s auto parts, automotiveindustry exist problems that the inadequacies of our auto industry, and also pointedout that China’s automobile industry to implement mass customization the necessityof the mode of production, and give full play to the advantages of mass customization,to solve production problems.
