Since the reform and opening up, the urbanization of our country has rapidlydeveloped, towns are increasing constantly, and the scale of cities and towns iscontinually expanding, urban landscape change every day. The achievements ofurbanization is the inevitable outcome of the development of socialism with Chinesecharacteristics, is the embodiment of social civilization and progress, is an importantforce to promote our country building a well-off society. The city is developing, therural area is progressing, the gap between the cities and the rural is gradually reduced,at the same time, the ecological city and demonstration small towns are furtherpromoting the comprehensive development of urban and rural integration. As therapid development of productivity and the improvement of people’s living standard,people’s requirement on the ecological environment is getting higher and higher. Inthe process of understanding and transforming the world, human emphasis on therespect for nature and understand more deeply on the ecological civilization. In theurban construction, human positively response the various problems appeared in theprocess of the town, coordinate the overall development of Human-Natural-Society,to achieve the sustainable development of cities. In November2012, as the victory ofholding the18th China Communist Party conference, ecological civilization as a newbright spot was put on a higher height. The construction of ecological civilization wasintroduced by an independent chapter in the18th Party report, showing its importantstrategic status clearly. Today, when urbanization develops rapidly in China, we notonly have to face a series of economic and social problems, but also have to face theproblems like shortage of resources and ecological environment deterioration.Therefore, in the new background of ecological civilization, how to plan and constructsocialist new town, how to run through the concept of ecological civilization to theurbanization development process, how to achieve harmony between human, socialand natural, is what we need efforts to explore and implement in the futureconstruction of urbanization.This passage mainly research on the related contents on urbanization by fivechapters.
