The communication networks which is developping rapidly, have brought more and more different communication standards. The vast majority of them employ a different modulation, coding scheme, besides the compatibility of them is poor between each other. Present conventional communication device designed for a specific function, although structurally similar to each other but interoperability, flexibility are very poor.it is unable to meet the rapid development of wireless communication technologies, solve this problem, this paper mainly research more compatible protocols, multiple frequencies, inexpensive software radio platform, which has good flexibility and reconfigurability, user-friendly use.Firstly, the paper studys theoretical basis of software radio and the status of software radio platform at home and abroad, combined with the demand for wireless communications. The paper rises a embedded software radio platform design based ZYNQ board: The platform includes ZYNQ series Zed Board master boards and Harkrf One RF receiver module to the USB bus network; the paper builds a embedded Linux system running on the Zed Board, ports GNU radio software radio system in the framework and algorithm library, complete building the software system environment.Using this platform for IEEE802.11 a protocol, we were prototype design and verification software radio transceiver system. It analyzes the key technology issues and physical layer protocol specification IEEE802.11 a designed to achieve the IEEE802.11 a transmit and receive chain calculation module, built IEEE802.11 a physical layer link transmit and receive. In the case of the reception chain analysis work bottlenecks, design hardware acceleration solutions, the use of FPGA logic optimization IEEE802.11 a receive chain system time high occupancy rate of FFT modules.It has completed the functional testing and performance analysis of software platform based on ZYNQ for IEEE802.11 a protocol to send and receive data and bit error rate testing, analysis. And it has tested the hardware acceleration modules and hardware-accelerated system performance module reconstructed. It verifies the feasibility of the use of FPGA logic to build the hardware acceleration program.Compared with traditional software radio platform, the system uses the new ARM plus FPGA structure, improve the poor performance issues CPU computing platforms, bulky structure, the price is expensive, the use of FPGA acceleration unit can effectively improve the system’s computing power and system throughput.
