With the successful holding of the Olympic Games and the national fitness up to the national strategy, the demand for sports and fitness of urban residents increased year by year. In social media, the number and influence of the topic of sports fitness continues to rise. Social media will play an important role in promoting the pattern of urban residents fitness. Micro-blog Sina as one of the mainstream social media, in 2015, made a new attempt and breakthrough in the field of sports fitness, and the interaction with the needs of urban residents’ fitness has achieved good results.This paper takes 2015 Sina Weibo as an example,Study on the development course, content, form and function of the interaction between social media and city residents fitness demand,through Literature Study, Statistic Analysis, Case Analysis, Logical Reasoning research methods.The conclusion is that social media has enriched the way to participate in sports and fitness of urban residents, met the growing demand of sports, make up the deficiency of the existing public health service.,also increased the number of social media in fitness enthusiasts, formed potential consumer groups, expanded the sports industry social media marketing, social media promote the development and innovation the sports industry.Although social media and fitness of urban residents in interactive development trend is good, but there are still some disadvantages: such as fitness project promotion is relatively single, specialized fitness social media vacancies still exist, in social media platforms exist some negative fitness atmosphere, different social media has imbalance development on sports fitness,lack of international influence.Based on the above problems, this paper puts forward the following suggestions:First, referred the successful mode of running projects in social media, to promote a more diverse and interesting fitness programs, enrich the main fitness marke.Second, relying on the resources and influence of Sina weibo platform, reference the foreign mature fitness social media development experience, combined the needs and characteristics of China’s urban residents fitness, build a specialized authority of large-scale comprehensive fitness social media. Third, social media should strengthen itself "media gatekeeper" role, to make control of the negative ethos, instantly discover and curb all kinds of malicious speculation information. The last, social media should learn from the successful examples of Sina Weibo, promote the development of urban residents’ fitness, while increasing expand overseas business efforts, develop support for multilingual web client and mobile client products, build itself to be a international social media platform.
