Laser imaging technology is a multi-disciplinary, involving physical, precision instruments and image processing expertise, which uses a laser as a light source for imaging. At present, many countries regarded laser imaging as one of the hot research projects,and many fields also have a variety of products based on laser imaging technology. Range-gated laser imaging technology is an effective way to reduce the after scattering of the target object, which effectively improve the image quality of imaging technology.This article based on time slice imaging method is about research of three-dimensional laser range-gated imaging technology, which studied the key technology of the trigger system, and raised the program of the trigger control system module based on FPGA module and delay lines application technology.This paper carried out some work in the following areas:Firstly, the research introduced the research progress of range gated imaging technology in domestic and international and the developments of FPGA technologies. The article outlined the principle of laser range-gated imaging, as in the laboratory existing experimental conditions, and tested the electrical characteristics parameters of the range-gated imaging system, and summarized trigger chronological order, and raised the overall program of the trigger control system.Then, the article designed the hardware and software of the trigger control system, including FPGA timing module and fine-tuning circuit module which is used to trigger the cathode gate module. The article conducted the simulation of the trigger control system, and tested the hardware circuit performance of the control system, with the help of universal equipment carried out the gated circuit debugging and testing,and analyzed error and jitter characteristics of test results.Finally, the high-precision trigger control range-gated laser imaging experiments was carried out in the outdoor. Built range-gated imaging precision trigger control experimental system, record the experimental data, and analyzed the data and imaging precision by MATLAB software.
