Range-gated laser imaging technology as a non-scanning of a laser imaging technology has the feature of compact, high frame rate imaging, large field of view and so on. Compared with other non-scanning imaging, laser range gated imaging technology in the inhibition of backscatter and improving the target SNR has a prominent feature. This paper discusses it possible that range-gated three-dimensional laser imaging applied to the dynamic environment, and studies the key technology of the dynamic range-gated three-dimensional laser imaging technology.This paper carried out the following three areas:First, we discuss the problems that the range-gated 3D laser imaging applied to dynamic environment by the principle. And we make the key technologies of dynamic range-gated laser imaging. By analyzing the range-gated imaging principles and characteristics we described different forms between the dynamic range-gated imaging and static slice imaging, including the high-speed positioning of the target and the high-speed of data transmission and storage requirements. Then we proposed dynamic range of the target delay at the gate when the control technology and continuous high-speed image data transmission and storage technology.Then, we study the two key technologies for dynamic imaging. For the dynamic range at the target under the strobe gate delay control, using the GPS system we obtain real-time target distance and the real-time speed of the imaging system. And it's resolved that a range-gated laser imaging slices in a row to obtain the accuracy delay control problems. For continuous imaging at high-speed image data transmission and storage technology, we analysis of existing data transfer and storage device capabilities, and select a Gigabit Ethernet interface and a disk array storage solutions designed to solve the image problem of high-speed transmission and storage.Finally, the dynamic range-gated three-dimensional laser imaging system was tested. First, in the static environment, the delay control technology of the range-gated three-dimensional laser imaging was tested that the minimum gating control can be achieved 8ns, delay control accuracy can be 2.5ns, and system can realize the target serial section imaging control, compensate the image dislocation by the speed. And high-speed data transmission and storage technology was tested, the system can achieve 200 frames / s transmission and storage requirements, and frame loss rate <5‰. Then complete the static imaging test pilot, received the minimum strobe gating to 1.7m, the delay can reach 0.5m precision imaging of serial sections. Test results indicate that the dynamic range-gated three-dimensional laser imaging can realize by these two technologies. Finally, the dynamic range-gated 3D laser imaging experiments was done. Then we get the target slice image and 3D synthesis of the target image. The paper final verified that the range-gated 3D laser imaging applied to the dynamic environment is feasible.
