In 1996, the concept of artificial materials was proposed firstly, after 2005, Metamaterials opened the road for a large number of scientific research. In 2011, Yu popularized the Snell law using the metasurface with discontinuous phase, since then researchers really begun to study the properties of the metasurface. The metasurface is a two-dimensional structure of metamaterial, which is composed of plasmonic nanoantenna array, and in essence, it is a discontinuous phase grating with subwavelength periodicity. Metasurface is a new structure, which can control the direction of reflected light and refraction light by designing a reasonable phase gradient, when the shape of the antenna element composed of the metasurface is different, and the properties are different. When the metasurface structure composed of three metal bars will appear a special phenomenon of electromagnetic induced transparency, in this paper,metasurface of metal rod antenna is studied based on the phenomenon.In this paper, we first derived the generalized Snell’s law based on the metasurface. Then we propose a new method of metasurface structure, which is a general phenomenological method to analytically model metasurfaces instead of the traditional full-wave numerical simulations.Metasurface composed of three silver nanorods antenna has electromagnetically induced transparent-like phenomenon. This paper explains the causes of this phenomenon and metasurface transmission polarization conversion efficiency, When the transmission amplitude of X polarized light and Y polarized light is equal, at the same time, the diffience of transmission angle of X polarized light and Y polarized light is ?, the polarization conversion efficiency of metasurface is the highest. At resonance frequency, the polarization conversion efficiency of metasurface is very low, while at other frequency, effiency of metasurface is relatively high. According to the characteristics of metasurface, we will research the polarization filter properties of metasurface.The last part of this paper investigates polarization filtering properties of metasurface in transmission and reflection. At resonance frequency, transmission polarization conversion efficiency of metasurface of 15 layer structureis is zero. At other frequency, the conversion efficiency of metasurface is very high. We can use the metasurface of 15 layer to make transmission polarization filter. In reflection situation, metasurface with two substrate, of which the first layer is 2MgF of 140 nanometer thickness, and the second layer is silver of 500 nanometer thickness, has a very good polarization filtering property, we also can use this structure to make reflection polarization filter.
