Design And Implementation Of Campus Smart Card System In XKU

With the rapid development and integrated application of modern network technology, higher institutions have started to take digital campus construction as a significant task. In accordance with the digital campus construction planning of Xi’an Kedagaoxin University, this topic aims at the research, design and implementation of the campus one-card system on the basis of the campus network and information platform, so as to add a new application of digitalized business to the digital campus construction program.This thesis conforms to the objective and task of the digital information construction planning of Xi’an Kedagaoxin University. To begin, a comprehensive and systematical analysis and research has been carried out in terms of the current situation and demand of campus one-card system. The overall system design scheme has therefore been provided based on the business model and functions. In addition, on the basis of network and system configuration, the subsystems of the campus one-card application have been classified and designed, including campus card payment, card management, bank payment, financial commerce, teaching affair administration, identification and authentication, library borrowing management, telephone inquires and some other function modules. Moreover, PowerBuilder and Sybase have been chosen as the development tools to realize develop the subsystems of the campus one-card business. Lastly, by means of the network management platform of the campus one-card application system, the test and pilot run have been given to this system, realizing the various functions of the campus one-card system, such as fee payment, financial settlement, identification and authentication, library borrowing management, telephone inquires and so forth, basically meeting the needs of the campus one-card business information management.The campus one-card system has already been put into use on the campus network and information platform of Xi’an Kedagaoxin university. The result shows that the system has less data maintenance work, high operability, dynamic reflection of the users’ operation, and the effective functions of data inquiry, statistics, automatic circle to save, etc, which is of great and practical value to the information construction and the improvement of management performance of the university.
