Pipe String Chart Technology Research And Application

Well construction drawing plan and well string drawing plan are the main part in all kinds of oil field engineering plans. It is too waste time to complete an engineering drawing using traditional means, and the drawings made by edit software such as Word editor look crude, also it does not meet the well drawing standard, but it is difficult to operate the professional drawing software which is lack of pipe and tool graph library support, lots of completed data of oilfield has not been effectively shared is another problem. So in this thesis, the finally goal is to find a simple, effective and shared method to drawing pipe string by using Software engineering technology, computer graphics technology and database technology.By analyzing a variety of well-type of pipe string charts, we have found a string drawing method in this thesis according to the Legend of down hole process strings and tools for hydrocarbon production well and water injection well!. In this method we use a special texture mapping algorithm to post pictures to irregular polygon graph areas, then the connection dislocation problem that down hole tools and pipes in different number density has been solved. It also provides a solution to the complicated pattern graphs which have filling problem when we modeling vector graphics. The OpenGL-based selection and feedback technology make a great deal to the human-computer interaction during the pipe string drawing process, so we can draw faster. It has also achieved a data drawing method by using a large number of pipe string data accumulated from the oilfield information technology, problems such as logical position sequences from the tools and pipes and errors like overlapping coverage and some other issues have corrected by the collision detection algorithm. The drawing results have shared by using compressed bitmap and other image formats stored in disk or saved in database as some kinds of data stream. Pipe string drawing results and intermediate results can be also saved in custom file format picture files for easier edit later.Finally in this thesis I have completed the pipe string drawing system by analyzing the feature and advantage of the VC++ and the OpenGL based technology in C / S mode visualization. It does have some promotional value in SINOPEC, CNPC and CNOOC and some other related units.
