With the rapid development of digital manufacturing level, The fast and efficient connection of CAD,CAPP and CAM systems has become an important goal of our five-year plan manufacturing industry. As a CAD system and a CAPP system intelligent interface automatically feature recognition technology, which can not only realize the CAD and CAPP systems quickly and seamlessly integrated systems, geometry and topology of the part itself has the project but also to the mechanical parts included semantic information connected. Therefore, the study of feature recognition technology has important and far-reaching significance.This paper main research work is as follows:1.The characteristics of axial parts recognition has been studied. According to the several typical characteristics of axial parts, respectively for the construction of its completed attribute adjacency graph and decomposition, and then the subgraph and isolated by matching the characteristics of the database has been established, feature recognition is realized.2.MBD manufacturing information extraction as been studied. Dimension and tolerance information are seen as one of the important content of manufacturing information, through the MBD model composed of dimension and tolerance information is analyzed, and the use of UG secondary development dimension and tolerance of access functions on a visit to the basic information. The information retrieval of dimension and tolerance is realized.3.On the UG software platform.The automatic characteristics identification and dimension and tolerance information extraction window function are established based on UG secondary development technologies. Further through a shaft parts model, a complex parts model and component model are verified respectively. The rationality and feasibility of the development function of the window are proved.
