Recently, wireless sensor networks(WSNs) are widely used. Broadcast authentication is a fundamental security service in wireless sensor networks.Focused on the issue that broadcast authentication based on the digital signatures of public-key encryption in wireless sensor networks costs large amounts of energy, and the sensor nodes have resource constraints, in order to save the energy cost of sensor nodes and quicken the digital signature authentication, a broadcast authentication scheme in cooperative sensor nodes was proposed. First of all, a user broadcasts the signature information into group networks in wireless sensor networks, not containing the y-coordinate of the point in the signature; then, according to the x-coordinate of the point and elliptic curve equation, the high-energy nodes in group network compute y-coordinate and broadcast it to the normal nodes in group. At the same time, the high-energy nodes authenticate signature information broadcasted by user adopting v BNN-IBS digital signature and rebroadcast effective signature information; finally, after receiving y-coordinate, the normal nodes in group networks utilize elliptic curve equation to verify the correctness and reliability of y-coordinate, and implement the same signature authentication as the high-energy nodes, and then rebroadcast effective signature information; in addition, the proposed scheme minimizes the length of Authorization Revocation List(ARL) by integrating immediate revocation and automation revocation. Simulation experiment show that, the energy cost and the total broadcast authentication time of this paper decreases 41% and 66%respectively than Benzaid et al scheme’s, when the amount of data packets received by the authentication node from its neighbour nodes was up to a certain number.
