The interaction status on the social media between parents and offspring is special. Based on the blood relationship, parent-child interaction is the social contact between acquaintances. On the social media, the parent is the supervisor and the offspring is the supervisee. Owing to above two particularities, the study of the parent-child interaction on the social media is well worth our exploration. By the traditional media or the network media, the discussion about the parent-child interaction on the social media is insulting and mischievous. The study attempts to present the status of the parent-child interaction on the social media between college students and their parents by the empirical analysis. The study also tries to dig the real college students’ attitude towards being friends with their parents on the social media.The study analyses the effects on college students’ social behavior and offline parenthood caused by the parent-child interaction on the social media.
