This dissertation mainly studied the applications of chaotic circuits in self-powered systems and wireless communications. The main work shown as follows:We studied the power consumption of chaotic circuits theoretically. We firstly considered the famous Chua’s chaotic circuit, simulated numerically the instantaneous power of circuit’s components in stable state, periodic state and chaotic state and analyzed the results theoretically, showing them in figures. The average power of nonlinear component kept constant under different circuit states. Meanwhile, we proved that the resistance of the nonlinear component was negative in Chua’s chaotic circuit, which made them worked like power source. Then we studied two other chaotic circuits in this same method, and we found that the power properties were affected by the characteristics of nonlinear component. These researches were basic to design different circuit outputs.Another job we focused on was to filter chaotic signals by linear high/low pass filer. Compared with wire communication, the wireless communication would be affected by environment easily, such as multipath propagation, delay spread, decline and Doppler effect. Although these physical media influence were inevitable, the matched designing filter did not change the dynamical characteristics like Lyapunov exponents. We calculated the Lyapunov exponents before and after chaotic signal was filtered by both linear high and low pass filters and analyzed the power spectrum affected by linear filters’ cutoff frequencies.
