In recent years, research on networking aspects of the deepening a large number of intelligent hardware gradually comeinto all aspects of people’s lives. Especially the learning progress the chain industry, because more and more comfortable shopping experience, all kinds of large-scale shopping malls, supermarkets and other people gradually get more attention, and therefore lead to healthy competition between them. In the meantime, retail owners are always looking for new business models and new technology, in order to achieve lower cost of sales and enhance the user experience, hoping to attract more consumers. Therefore, as electronic shelf label system.Electronic shelf label(Electronic Shelf Label, ESL) system is to replace the paper label, a commodity information system update and modify the price to fully automated. The main system using the wireless network communication product information real-time transmission to the ESL, and displayed on the electronic paper screen. The arrival of ESLs liberated the staff hands, fully automated control, market prospects.The article gives a brief description of the application scene of ESLs, then introduces the current domestic and international environment and the future direction of research, comparison of various short-range wireless communication technology, and then construct the whole framework, discusses the selection of MCU and RF chip and based on the design of the peripheral circuit, the construction of software platform selection the appropriate transfer server is transplanted transformation, improves the ALOHA protocol, the software and hardware design is done, the low power electronic shelf label system. The ESL STM32L051C6 microcontroller, CC1101 chip and electronic paper screen as the core, respectively, completed the design of the core circuit of electronic paper, refresh, power supply and RF transceiver. This paper designed the transit server, by running the openwrt system on the router and the sink node access port to achieve interaction. This paper gives a modeling analysis to the traditional ALOHA protocol as the prototype, through the optimization of scheduling, the low power MAC protocol.According to the function of detection, detection of the electronic paper screen refresh and response time, radio communication and radio frequency coverage, is the main energy consumption detecting ESL. The test shows that the electronic shelf label system is designed in this paper, the communication security is stable and reliable, ESL working time is long enough, the energy consumption of small enough, this paper reached the demand for low power consumption.
