With the development of cloud computing, networking and mobile Internet technologies and applications, IPv4 addresses are depleted, highlighting the growing importance of IPv6, IPv6 has a massive address space will become a global Internet link. At present,could IPv4 technology which based on hardware and software fit the technical requirements of IPv6 or not, is a important problem, as also how to make large-scale commercial application of IPv6-based promotion.In order to test the extent of existing hardware and software products, and accumulated experiencefor large-scale commercial for IPv6 technology, with the support of the National Development and Reform Commission and the China Next Generation Internet(CNGI) Expert Committee, we have implemented a "Design and Implementation of MOST portal for the Next Generation Internet upgrade program", for existing mainstream hardware and software products, as far as possible in the interest of the old, the optimization of the premise, completed the program.This article has analyzed the characteristics of IPv6 and migration technology IPv4 to IPv6, Studied on the existing network topology, software and hardware of MOST portal, on the network migration, transformation, security and web application system upgrade technology roadmap and deployment of the implementation of the program. Achieved a smooth MOST portal accessible in IPv6 environments.
