With the rapid development of the informationization construction of colleges and universities, the contradiction between inter-departmental application integration and independence heterogeneous application systems becomes prominent increasingly. The needs of building a service integration platform of digital campus which can integrate the existing heterogeneous system and are flexibly compatible with the new system become more and more strong. At present, numerous domestic and international IT companies release the ESB products and EAI solution based on ESB. But the existing commercial and open source ESB products are not fully meet the requirement of the integration construction of digital campus. To solve the problems above, this paper proposes the system design and implementation of WisESB which is the service integration platform of digital campus. This paper does secondary development of Mule ESB, on the basis of analysing Mule ESB including its services execution engine and configuration files. The main research of this paper includes:1. Researching and implementing service access and adaptation mechanisms of WisESB. Implementing three kinds of service invoking adapter for remote communication technology including Web Services, RMI and JMS. Implementing three kinds of accessing method for protecol including HTTP, SOAP and JMS. Providing transparent service invoking without knowing the position of service in distributed heterogeneous environment.2. Researching and implementing service management mechanism of WisESB. Defining service metadata model for RMI, JMS adn Web Service, and extenting service registration and discovery ability. Proposing service encapsulation model and realizing message processing components, so that developers could integrate services without attention to the technical details of mule configuration.3. Researching and implementing service composition mechanism of WisESB, proposing the composite service model based on SEDA (Staged Event-Driven Architecture) and realizing service reference mechanism, enabling developers to create a composite service using existing atomic services.4. Researching and implementing service access permission management mechanism of WisESB, proposing a composite service authorization and checking mechanism based on the traditional user roles and permissions management.5. Implementing WisESB prototype system, developmenting application instance of digital campus, verifying the practicability and rationality of WisESB.
