Power Line Communication refers to the power transmission line as a carrier for data transmission and information exchange. Powerline Communications leverages the existing home cable network, not the need to set up communication cables, thus saving a lot of cost, especially for broadband access in the fast-growing smart home industry also has a wide range of applications. Power Line Communication can now have high-speed data transmission, mainly due to the rapid development of signal processing and modulation techniques. Power line communication itself, but there are also some inherent deficiencies, the power line itself is not used for data transmission, power line channel harsh environment. Noise power line itself, signal attenuation and multipath propagation characteristics will cause a great impact on the high-speed data signal transmission. Use in power line communication orthogonal frequency division multiplexing technology have greatly increased the utilization of spectrum, but also effectively reduces the time-varying power line channel attenuation, the influence of noise, multipath and other unfavorable factors, in order to achieve high-speed, reliable transmission of data.This article first power line channel characteristics of research to identify the negative factors affecting the signal high-speed transmission, the establishment of the power line communication channel model, theoretical analysis and OFDM technology, combined with adaptive control technology to complete the design of power line carrier communication system. Second, it presents the overall design scheme of the system based on PLC broadband access distribution network requirements, the subject of the program based on Atheros chipset’s integrated design and implementation. System consists of multiple modules, PLC core business modules, signal interface coupling circuit module coupled zero-crossing detection signal acquisition and signal to solve the engineering problems of installation, making the system of distribution network connection becomes more secure and dry simple; power supply module and interface circuitry for the system provides the basic operating environment. Finally, the basic rules of the printed circuit board and system design requirements to complete the circuit design PLC communication system. Through theoretical analysis and design verification of this article, the power line communication using OFDM technology is entirely feasible high-speed data signals, and have a very broad application prospects and market relevance.
