with the expansion of the campus scale, there has been a significant growth in the number of students, which leds to the substantial difficulty of college students’ management. How to ensure the information conveyed on campus exactness, effectiveness, timeliness and safety is one of the most important issues that the current campus management has been confronted nowadays.Since 1996, when the first instant messaging software, ICQ, has come true, the sharing mode and efficiency of information communication have greatly changed; The appearance of enterprise instant messaging software, which effectively reduce the administrative cost, improve the efficiency of information transmission, has ameliorated the internal management and message sharing and communication in the company.The campus security instant messaging software system, which has been integrated with the concept of enterprise instant messaging system, has approached the practical problems existing in the current campus management simultaneously and has been applied instant messaging technology and asymmetric communication technology. Hence, the system not only promotes the communication among the members of the school, but also enables the dissemination of campus information more precise, valid and timely. The system, written by the Java language and structured based on C/S architecture, is divided into two parts: client and server, both of which have the ability of cross-platform operation. The client and the server using TCP protocol to communicate. Text and database server are the two ways the server using to save the user datas, moreover, the MySQL database is used to store data by default. In addition to the basic system functionalities, such as user registration, user login, user transceiver, message to remind, users to search, users to add that commonly used instant messaging software has already possessed, instant messaging software according to the characteristics of campus message management provides group and user group functions.The system, based on x. 509 digital certification standards and SSL protocol for encrypting and decrypting the messages, enhances the security of campus information.This dissertation is adopted the Object-Oriented Analysis and design(OOAD) ideas and carries out a detailed requirements analysis of this system; Then we uses the unified modeling language(UML) to designing and modeling specifically; After that, we take the advantages of the current mainstream technology to implement the system function. At last of the article is about the measurement of the system in two sections: functional and safety.
