With the rapid development of mobile communication, demand of network quality has increased accordingly. Coverage area and signal strength of the network determine the network quality, and currently blind spots and weak signal area exist in coverage areas of wireless communication. Fiber optic repeater, as the best choice to solve signal coverage problem nowadays, is employed to connect the network line, which will increase network coverage area effectively and economically. The demand of RF optical transceiver system(RF-OTS) is greatly increased since it is a core component of fiber optical repeater. Compared with the original RF-OTS, intelligent RF-OTS adds more functions such as digital diagnosis, optical power detection, RF power detection, voltage detection, auto bias current control. Intelligent RF-OTS provides an effective approach to monitor system performance, and gathers multi-feature in a module, which increases the degree of versatility and integration, and makes automatically non-contact-detect come true.In this thesis, the working principle and disadvantages of RF Optical transceiver which is used in fiber optic repeater station, is discussed. The monitoring parameters and the functional requirements needed by the Optical transceiver system is analyzed, The remote communication and transmission data is studied. Besides, this thesis puts forward the overall design of intelligent RF optical transceiver system and makes a detailed analysis of the important part of the design scheme. We introduces the overall structure of the system, discusses the reasons why we designed its software and hardware like this and analyses the data transfer protocol of this intelligent RF optical transceiver. This thesis mainly studies the design and implementation of intelligent optical transceiver embedded system, scheme of the software, the collection of monitoring data, the realization of the control parameters, local and remote way of working and so on. In addition, this thesis discusses embedded technology, using STM32F103VET6 to monitor the RF transmission module and monitoring and feedback of the transmission performance. Remote transmission module uses ARM-CortexA9 processor and the Linux system to write drive, crop system, modify the device tree, write the application and implements the communication with PC.
