Time domain near field measurement technology is based on frequency domain near field measurement technology. It is also a technology to further expand the frequency domain measurement technology to time domain. Time domain near field measurement has high security, all-weather work, information rich, etc. For complex target scattering field measurement, usually the traditional test method of frequency domain can only be conducted on a specific frequency, for continuous measurement of ultra-wideband scattering characteristics will be difficult to achieve. In order to quickly obtain scattering characteristics of complex targets within the ultra-wideband, built time domain near field measurement system, acquired the complex target scattering characteristics inside ultra-wideband. In this paper, the main work includes:First of all, the time domain near field measurement test related to introduce some basic concepts. Through concrete numerical reflected scattering the scope of the near field by radar link formula to calculate the time domain receiver needs to satisfy the minimum target. Complete frequency domain near far field extrapolation from time domain near field extrapolation theory formula is deduced, and in the final summed up the main test for the error correction method is adopted in the characteristics of the window function.Secondly, using time domain measurement equipment for time domain near field target scattering plane measurement system construction of the hardware. Some use indices and function of each component has made detailed instructions. After completing the entire hardware system, write the appropriate program to be able to run the hardware system. Software part mainly realizes the automatic sampling the raw data and the subsequent data processing. Two parts complement each other, only under the condition of guarantee system can run automatically, to get a large amount of the near field of the original data; Also, can only be obtained from the original data of subsequent data processing need the scattering of the test result.Finally, practical simplified test scheme be designed, and adopted far field incident plane wave method to illuminate the complex target, scattering time domain near field plane measurements are carried out. By using a standard metal ball get test results compared with the theoretical value, proved the correctness of the method and the effectiveness of the proposed in a certain Angle domain. On this basis, the shrinkage ratio complex target model plane under the condition of multiple perspectives and multiple posture, far field RCS value and scattering properties of complex targets be obtained.
