Choices of effective communication techniques against communication channel link characteristics will be necessary in the design and planning of satellite mobile communication system. So the characteristics research of satellite mobile communication channel is important. Background of satellite mobile communication channel and present research situation at home and abroad is introduced firstly. Multipath fading, delay spread and correlation bandwidth, shadow fading, Doppler effect is discussed. Several classic satellite mobile communication channel model is researched. And then Algorithm and simulation of satellite mobile communication channel model is analyzed, while Rice Sum-Of-Sinusoid method is focused on and simulation model of the color-Gaussian stochastic processes is built. Finally Rayleigh fading and shadow fading algorithm is analyzed.Based on the existing channel theory, after a full consideration of communication link between Satellite and user mobile terminal in various kinds channel(Urban, suburban, open land), a channel model is built which can simulate multiple channel model by adjusting the parameters. Moreover, Considering the wide area and time-varying channel environment, based on the theory of the existing Luts channel model, a two-state satellite mobile communication channel model comprising an "ideal state" and "non-ideal state" is present, and the model simulation is given, the model can be transformed by adjust some parameters. And the direct component of the received signal is interfered by shadow fading by improve the Luts model.Based on the above model, aiming at the hardware simulator needs, a software with multiple task and function which can implement communication with channel simulator hardware. User can set the parameters according to the selected channel model, and then the result parameters calculating by the software are transmitted to hardware via PCI-Express bus and RS232 serial ports, thus the channel environment can be completed and software is flexible and easy to operate. Additionally, the software can implement remote monitoring via Socket communication in order to monitoring the state of channel simulator.
