The Business Network Construction Approach And Its Application In The Travel And Tourism Industry

Social networks paradigm has been widely used in the study of economic organization during which enterprise social network generation mechanism, network infrastructure, network evolution have been intensively studied. However, the network construction method is still an emerging field. Especially, the validity of the network structured data which has laid the foundation of Social Network Modeling has been ignored. Therefore, after comprehensive analysis of the literature of network construction methods, this thesis aims to figure out problems in the effectiveness of the network structured data based on the classification standard of Network collection methods. According to the research, the inconformity of the relationship definition as well as the restricted data acquisition approach turns out to be the key problems in the study of the validity of the network structured data. In order to solve the problem, this thesis firstly adopts the mature business relations theory model—ARA model,clarifying the meaning of the relationship between enterprises respectively. Then, the extraction technology in computer science is used to broaden the network structure data acquisition approach and the theory of commercial network construction program is proposed. Lastly, 809 participants of the travel and tourism industry and 28750 lines indicating the relationship information are used to visualize the business network of the travel and tourism industry via Gephi, and the value of this novel network construction approach proposed is illustrated from the data collection of nodes and relationship.
