Image monitoring technology has a very wide range of applications in important fields such as agriculture. The core of image monitoring technology is image acquisition and image transmission. The choice of microprocessor is the key of image acquisition. STM32 microprocessor has the advantages of a variety of product lines, high cost performance, simple and easy to use. It stands out in a large number of microprocessors. Choosing reasonable communication mode is the key of image transmission. GPRS and 3G wireless communication technology are the two means of remote data transmission. Because of their fast transmission speed, reasonable charge, not subject to geographical restrictions and other characteristics, they have been widely used in such image monitoring system.In this paper, an image monitoring system is designed based on the application background of agriculture and forestry monitoring. It uses GPRS and 3G wireless communication technology as well as uses STM32F103ZET6 microprocessor as the core. The main contents of the article are as follows:(1) We first design the architecture scheme of the image acquisition and transmission system. It mainly includes image acquisition, image processing, mobile communication and monitoring center.(2) On the basis of the overall framework, this paper describes the main control chip and its peripheral hardware circuit, OV2640 module, SIM900 A, MU509 integration and their peripheral hardware circuit. The main control chip hardware circuit design mainly includes power circuit, clock circuit and serial circuit.(3) This paper uses the modular method to carry on the software development of the collection terminal. It introduces the software design process of the terminal from the aspects of image acquisition, image storage, etc. Firstly, the program for image collection is needed to achieve real-time JPEG image’s acquisition. Secondly, the program for image backup realizes image’s storage.(4) Remote data communication. Establish TCP connection on the basis of AT instructions. Design data communication protocol and function code, and take the corresponding error correction mechanism, to ensure data transmission and docking between the collection terminal and the monitoring center.(5) On the basis of each module driver, the μCOS operating system is transplanted.(6) Finally, we verify the acquisition module and the wireless communication module of the image monitoring system. Test results show that the system works well. The collection module can collect the images of the agriculture and forestry field. The Wireless communication module can achieve the image transmission. Server access to effective information, display a clear picture of the image.
