Due to the progress of science and technology and development of the society, a variety of intelligent devices are becoming increasingly popular and play an important role in family life of people. As a result, the digital living network attracts more and more attention of people. At the same time,all kinds of digital living network technology is developing rapidly in which UPnP is the standard protocol architecture to realize digital living network. UPnP develops a series of protocols,such as device addressing, device discovery, device control and so on. In the intelligent living network, all kinds of intelligent devices work together in a wireless way. People can use any device to access the content of any other multimedia in the same network.This paper firstly analyzes the workflow and architecture of UPnP protocol stack, then designs a complete scheme based on the UPnP protocol stack and Cling according to the scenarios such as device addressing, device discovery, device description and device control in the UPnP network. The core of the scheme is the Core module and Support module.This paper also designs a scheme that Control Point in the digital living network work with the devices which do not support the UPnP protocol. The program mainly adds the entity of adaptation center in the existing UPnP structure, so that the multimedia device and A/V UPnP architecture becomes loose coupling. After entering the local network, multimedia devices that do not support the UPnP protocol firstly register and store the necessary information in the adaptation center. At the beginning of the work, the control point only needs to interact with the center for UPnP interaction. When the control point wants to call the multimedia device of the adaptation center, the adaptation center only needs to resolve the control request information of the control point and then call the relevant multimedia devices. So in practical application, it is not necessary to carry out special customization for all kinds of multimedia players, thus reducing the unnecessary overhead and accelerating the promotion of intelligent living network. This scheme has been applied for national patent.
