The last decade witnesses the changing and rapid development of archival science at home and abroad, giving a significant meaning to the study on archival highlight problems in China and other countries. This thesis analyzes the papers published in Chinese and international archival core journals, uses key words to make statistical analysis on domestic and overseas archival highlight problems, then explores on highlight problems varied by year and research focus in different journals, analyzes the interdisciplinary phenomenon in archival research at home and abroad. The conclusions are as follows:First, the research field in archival research at home and abroad is developing from archive itself to a broader direction. Recently, both Chinese and international archival research broaden its field to surpass the previous research which only concerned on archive itself.Second, compared with the nature of papers in international archival journals, Chinese archival papers in archival journals have a higher degree of specificity, while international papers have a more extensive content, even surpass the archival research field.Third, archival research at home and abroad both show interdisplinary trends, but their differences are more evident. Fourth, the highlight problems at home and abroad in last decade show their own highlight problems more than the overlapping points. Besides, they don’t influence each other in chronological order, indicating their respective development track on highlight problems.Fifth, highlight problems of Chinese archival research are comprehensive and macroscopic on the whole, while those of internatioanl research are more concrete. China pays more attention on the research of special-typed archives. Sixth, highlight problems change relatively greatly in different years at home and abroad.
