The subject of this thesis is supported by the National Natural Science Fund (No. 61471164), which is named Research on Algorithms of Network Reconfiguration of Software Defined Sensor Network (SDSN). The control plane and data plane are decoupled in Software-Defined Network (SDN), which provides a new solution for the flat network management. In this thesis, the SDSN architecture which combines the SDN technology and WSN is first proposed. The SDSN consists of software-Defined sensor nodes, WSN nodes and sensor controller. Furthermore, a Joint Resource Control and Routing (JRCR) protocol is proposed by taking into account that routing protocols can be configured by the central controller. Simulation results show that the JRCR protocol can make global optimal calculation to ensure the Quality of Service and maximize the system throughput. Finally, an experimental platform is built to verify the performance of the proposed SDSN routing protocol. Experimental results show that the proposed platform can properly make use of the re-configuration of SDSN nodes to decouple the system control plane and data forwarding plane, which can provide some guidance for further development of SDSN.The thesis is divided into five chapters as follows. In Chapter 1, the background and the state-of-the-art are presented, the main work of the thesis is described. In Chapter 2, some classical WSN routing protocols are summarized, SDN architecture and OpenFlow protocol are analyzed. Then applications of SDN in various wireless networks are specifically discussed. In Chapter 3, the Joint Resource Control and Routing Protocol is put forward based on the proposed SDSN architecture, and the optimal results are obtained by using the sub-gradient method and convex optimization theory. In Chapter 4, the SDSN routing platform is implemented, hardware and software for SDSN nodes are designed in detail. Then the platform functional testing is executed. In Chapter 5, the research work of this thesis is summarized, and the prospects of future research work are given.
