Design And Implementation Of The Intelligent Desert Robot Information Acquisition Platform

In order to prevent desertification, protecting the natural ecology, exploring the huge resources in the desert region better, we can use the wireless communication, computer networks, electrical automation comprehensive integration technology research the desert better. In this paper, the information acquisition platform of intelligent desert robot is designed and developed based on these three kinds of technologies:(1) Creating the computer host data processing platform, do the corresponding processing to the relevant data, as far as possible to reduce error during the data in the transmission process.(2) With the aid of the modern database technology,using the SQL Server 2008 software to manage and store the returned data by the intelligent desert robot.(3) Directing display the returned data on the user interface of the host computer, and use the collected data to dynamically refresh our display interface at any time.(4) According to the predetermined communication protocol to control the motion of the desert robot and observe the robot sand buried, GPS, charge and so on.(5) According to the determined communication protocol, send commands to the desert robot to collect the data and transfer the collected data to the host computer.The system uses Power builder 11.5 as a development tool, SQL Server 2008 as a database management platform, achieving real-time data acquisition of desert robot, control the desert robot movement and other functions. The organization of this paper is as follows:firstly, the background and significance of the system research are described. Secondly, this paper introduces the overall structure design of the platform of intelligent desert robot, which includes two parts, the upper computer of the overall design and the lower computer of the overall design. And then introduces the design of communication software protocol. At last, the design of the system is introduced in detail.
