Recently years, Internet technology has a very high speed development. Web application has become an indispensable tool in people life, E-commerce, Online oeder, online education and online medical filled with all aspects of people’s life. The number of Web sites have an explosive growth in recent years, the user scale of Web site has become an unprecedented huge, its content also become richer and richer.In this case, the response speed of the Web site and the convenience of browsing the Web site becomes more and more demanding. With the fast development of the enterprise information construction, all kinds of Web application will continue to appear, the independent login systems between these applications have made a lot of inconvenience for users and managers of these applications. Base on the above reasons, the Web site optimization become imminent.For the Web performance optimization, the Back-End techonology is already very mature, but at the Front-End aspect, the research and practice are far behind the foreign countries. Most domestic Web sites don’t focus on the Front-End performance optimization, but in factthere is a very large space in Front-End performance optimization. The maturity of Single Sign-On techonology has changed the traditional identity authentication way, makes people only need once successful login and then can access multiple applications which are mutual trust. The users need not to input their credentials frequently, thus simplifies the process of acess to resources and greatly convenient the users.This thesis firstly introduced the research background, research status, research goal and the structure of this thesis. Secondly introduced the importance of the Front-End performance optimization, the request and response mechanism of Web, the HTTP protocol, the principle of CAS Single Sign-On and related techonologies.Then according to the various factors influencing the performance of Front-End, put forward a variety of technical solutions of Front-End performance optimization, and optimized the performance of envison Wind OSTM from the aspect of HTTP request, Web page elements and cache. Finally, the thesis used the J2EE development framework, combining WebWork, Spring and Hibernate lightweight framework, implements the CAS Single Sign-On system of the different applications between the envision Wind OSTM platform. The system was divided into presentation layer, business logic layer and data persistence layer, thus reduced the coupling between each module of the system, and make the program development more reasonable and make the system has better maintainability.
