Recently, China makes great improvement in Mobile-internet technology in industry and services. This provides basic support for mobile-network at university computer lab. So, it’s a right choice to build a new lab information management system by combining mobile-network and computer lab management. It should be able to enhance lab education management more and improve the quality of teaching and researching.Computer lab is one of the important basic departments in carrying out various teaching and scientific research tasks and programs in Colleges and universities. And it also is an important base for cultivating students’ practical ability and creative spirit. Currently, university computer lab normally implements B/S or C/S system as lab management system. Bound by the old environment, administrators is inefficient at some level in information management and maintain. Computer lab APP based on Android platform has the characteristics of real-time information sharing, which is environment-worry-free compare to traditional cable-based internet environment. How to create mobile lab information management platform and build a new equipment management mode by combining mobile-tech is new ground for increasing work efficiency.Based on the flexibility and mobility of combination of end-user APP and internet, a new lab information management system is designed to improve the traditional web network platform management system of university computer lab. This paper discusses the implementation and reality of mobile-lab information system with UML modeling tools at Android platform based on the analysis of the information demanding of computer lab, equipment user’requirements and lab procedures. The mobile-lab information system shows main module for checking and collecting class schedule, equipment troubleshooting and maintenance in computer lab. The new system applies Xamarin and C# for App for mobile terminal. It uses WCF for long distance database collecting and open source Zxing.net to deal with bar-code and decipher.This paper introduces research and new ideas for Mobile-Lab information system. First, it uses Xamarin to research how to use C# to develop App in Android under Visual Studio. Second, the system designs portable and mobile management to monitor lab information. System replaces traditional physical patrol and manual data recording. Third, the information of all equipments are collected by using Android installed barcode scanner. It also improves information management of lab hardware by Aneroid based bar-code scanning App. At last, the design in WCF structure increases system security and gives system more room to expand. Besides, according to the above-mentioned, booking lab-equipments can be optimized. It means users can submit their plan for equipments use by mobile-APP instead of phone and locale. It simplifies the work procedures of lab and teachers, enriches the business model.
