| Today, people’s understanding of the role of sports are gradually improving,which can be seen from the increase of the number of sports events and the attention to sports on television.In television sports program, a host plays a key role. This thesis mainly discusses the following questions: whether the image of the host accords with the program; whether the host impressed the audiences;whether the host is able to play a catalytic role in disseminating information;Professional image host how to locate, what elements, what role, how to create a good professional image and so on.This thesis based on academic knowledge in communication, sociology,psychology, sports journalism, uses researching methods including literature review,case study, logic analysis and other research methods.The thesis first gives the definition of the image of TV sports programs presenter, including sports spreader,specialized content as well as professional and stable communication object, in which sports spreader is embodied in "guide" role, "commentator" role, and "sports fan" role;specialized content contains characteristics including "hero" figures, challenging sports competitions, sudden, complexity and so on. The constituent elements of TV sports programs presenter professional image include explicit visual elements, as well as internal determinants and additional elements. Dress, voice, gestures and body language are all explicit visual elements; sports expertise, journalism and communication skills, language skills, physical and mental qualities as well as foreign language ability are internal determinants; supplementary elements include new media proficiency and social skills.The thesis also discusses the realistic function of the professional image of TV sports programs presenter, such as increasing audience’s awareness of the program, increasing the sense of identity of the program as well as increasing social influence. This thesis, taking the special program of " I love the World Cup" on CCTV-5 in 2014. Moreover, the thesis analyzes the western experiences from aspects of voice selection, quality of integrated services, the Star System, presenters experience, the presenters personality, etc,to improve the overall quality of hosts. In the end of the thesis, it gives strategies to build professional image of TV sports programs presenter, including strengthening the awareness, improving internal and external professionalism. Media should improve the TV sports programs presenter selection system, enhance brand construction, evaluation system, and image maintenance.Society should improve the social supervision system and create an environment that is conducive to the development of TV sports programs presenter. |
