Because of the development of technology, our life is becoming quicker and more convenient. These technological changes also play a subtle influence on the change of the media ecological environment. The use of new media means that the traditional media has increased its platform and time to contact to the audience, and this makes it get rid of the original limit, which is unprecedented. At the same time, the challenges between the new media and the traditional media has never stopped. What’s more, the media industry practitioners worries about the chemical reaction caused by the mix of different medias, and under the influence of the mobile internet media environment the trend of "decentration" has become increasingly apparent. The audience converted from the recipients, to participants, even the topic initiators.Because of the convenience of car listening, coupled with the impact of the number of private car ownership and urban traffic jams and other factors, the rate of radio listening maintained a certain degree of rise in the time of the decline of traditional media. This provides the time and opportunity for the integration of the radio and new media. The psychology and the environment of the audience are changing, the pressure of the urban population is becoming larger and larger, so they want the radio program to give themselves some positive energy and emotions, and this spawned a new form of radio talk show program. But the condition of the radio occupying the car space won’t last long. Then how to change the concept and integrate the environment of the multimedia is the topic that must be faced by the radio talk show program.This paper describes the development and survival of the radio talk show programs in the environment of media convergence, and it also provides the solutions to the difficulties of the radio talk show programs. The innovation of this paper is to emphasize the importance of the audience in the process of communication, and it pays attention to the audience experience and requirement at the same time. It also integrates multidisciplinary theories, such as communication studies, media ecology studies, etc. Based on the basic media properties of the radio media, the paper analyzes the reasons behind the change of radio talk show program audience according to the change of audience’s psychological and economical situation.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the introduction, and it mainly introduces the academic background of the topic, the related theory, the practical significance, the ideas and innovative points, especially the definition of the media convergence. The second part introduces the development track and current situation of the radio talk show program. The third part presents the problems and challenges faced by the radio talk show program in the media convergence era to look forward the solutions launched in the next chapter. The fourth part introduces the breakthrough and development of the radio talk show programs in the media convergence era and it gives the reference scheme practically and theoretically.In summary, this paper makes a plenary analysis of the problems met by the radio talk show program in the media convergence era, and it points out that radio talk show programs is facing great opportunities and challenges at the same time.
