In recently years, the rapidly development of RFID technology has brought unprecedented opportunities for our society. ISO/IEC 18000-6C protocol is a mainstream international standard, but the core patents are preempted by foreign institutions. At the same time, being the largest market of RFID technologies, it is always being a criticism for not having the independent intellectual property rights.For catering to the market need and the development strategy of RFID technologies,our country issued GB/T29768-2013 UHF RFID standard in 2013. For this standard has just entered the implementation phase, it means a lot to design a UHF RFID reader conforms to that.This thesis is based on a processor that combined with ARM and FPGA, the ARM part runs the embedded Android system, and the extended interfaces allow user to control devices such as security mode; FPGA part are programed to control the transceiver and the baseband. This thesis abandoned the long term use of WinCE and6 C standards combination, developed a UHF RFID reader based on embedded Android and GB/T29768-2013 UHF RFID standard, there is some reference value for the development of UHF RFID reader, and the spread for GB/T29768-2013 standard.Firstly, this thesis makes a summary for the application and development of UHF RFID technologies at home or abroad, and makes an analysis of where the purpose and significance of the study lies, then makes a summarize narrative for the structure of the thesis itself.At the main part of this thesis, firstly this thesis makes a quiet analysis for the GB/T29768-2013 standard, and then put forward a software and hardware environment based on a dual core ARM Cortex-A9 and FPGA CPU that called ZYNQ XC7Z020-CLG484-1 that can implement this standard, and then makes a brief introduction of the software and hardware development environment and process.Secondly, for the particularity of target hardware environment, this thesis makes a detail description of the steps of transplantion for Android system on it. Lastly, based on the transplanted Android system, this thesis introduces the design of driver,middleware control program, encapsulation of the JNI communication interface and the UI program.At the end of this thesis, it completes the test and analysis work for this UHFRFID reader, then put forwards some deficiencies and improvement methods for this handset reader.
